Ages 2 - 3 years

These transitional classrooms combine a basic introduction to Montessori with the interest center learning experience offered in the Discovery program.  Children's senses are stimulated through activities designed to foster language development, numerical knowledge, art, music, creative exploration and socialization.

In addition to enhancing the child's educational experience, our goal is to nurture the child's whole spirit.  Teachers foster the development of respect for self, others, and the environment through interactions with peers and teachers.

Stepping Stone classes are separated into I & II levels based upon emotional and developmental readiness.

Creates an environment that fosters a smooth transition between children moving up from the toddler program and forward into the Montessori and Discovery classrooms.
Builds on the process of exploration, discovery and socialization.
Incorporates principles utilized in the Montessori and Discovery curriculum including:  Practical life, language, math, sensorial, and creative movement, cooking and music.
